About Michael

Michael Gar is a rising star in the world of elite triathlon, representing Great Britain on the international stage.

Born in England to South African parents, with Italian heritage on his mother's side, Michael brings a unique international perspective to the sport. At just 21 years old, he's already making waves in elite-level competition.

Currently balancing his Finance studies at a Welsh university with elite-level training, Michael exemplifies dedication and passion. He's part of the Welsh Triathlon National Talent Performance Centre (NTPCW) and recently joined the prestigious 707 Team Minini in Italy.

Won the national title in 51:54, beating Nicola Azzano by 11 seconds. Also crowned U23 Italian Champion!
